The Student delegation, led by Elizabeth Copes and Fernando Yuma, returned from the Clausura National Championship with two gold medals and one silver.
Estudiantes judo returns from the north of the country with a bag full of merits. From November 13 to 17 in the province of Jujuy at the Jujuy Basketball Federation Stadium, the National Clausura Judo Championship was held with more than 1,500 registered from the 25 federations of our country. It is organized by the local provincial government, through the Sports Secretariat in coordination with the Jujuy Federation of Judo and Jiu Jitsu.
The championship, one of the most important on the calendar of the Argentine Judo Confederation, counted towards the national ranking and received competitors from all categories, from children to seniors. In addition, it had the stellar presence of Paula Pareto, Olympic champion and world champion trained at our institution.
The Pincha had a successful representation, since two gold medals were brought from Jujuy, obtained by Zaira Yuma; a silver medal achieved by Nicolás Gosztonyi Sugimoto; four podiums, three fifth places and one seventh place.
