The Mayor and the Sports Councilor have visited to check the status of execution of the comprehensive reform in which the Sexitano City Council is investing 55,478.50 euros.
The mayor of Almuñécar, Juan José Ruiz Joya, and the Councilor for Sports, Luis Aragón, have visited the work being carried out in the “La Carrera” sports hall, verifying that they are about to complete the comprehensive rehabilitation, including the removal and replacement of the pavement and the comprehensive repair of the bathrooms and changing rooms.
Ruiz Joya has expressed satisfaction with the state of execution of the works, with about 15 days left for delivery, which the company is carrying out. Sports Solution SL, awarded 55,478.50 euros.
The six-year-old councilor recalled that “the purpose of the action was to change the floor of the sports court, degraded by the passage of time, and install a high-performance sports floor 65 millimeters thick, imitation wood, which is suitable for sports practice of basketball, handball, volleyball, indoor soccer and badminton. In addition, the material used is anti-wear, anti-dirt and with bacteriostatic and fungicide treatment included.”
And he adds: “The renovation of the bathrooms and changing rooms is also being completed, to make them more accessible and hygienic and provide them with greater functionality,” he points out.
Juan José Ruiz Joya recalled that after the comprehensive repair of the sports courts of all the public schools of Almuñécar and La Herradura, “it was the turn to continue highlighting the rest of the municipal sports courts and, in this sense, the most urgent It was that of the Race and in a few days it will be available for the use and enjoyment of the neighbors.
