Today the last finals of the Evita Games were held in Mar del Plata where San Luis had a predominant performance in boxing, BMX and men’s futsal. He won 46 medals in a competition that this year went from 45 to 27 conventional disciplines and from 12 to 7 in adapted sports.
In boxing, Priscila Romero from Villa Merced won the silver medal in the up to 50 kg category. “I feel good because I know I gave it my all. Next year I’m going to give it my all again to come back, train and win,” he said.
In BMX freestyle, Micaela López won the bronze medal, while in men’s futsal the team led by Martín Mazza fought for third place against Río Negro, losing on penalties after a goalless draw.
San Luis was team champion in weightlifting, an unprecedented result in the discipline, and placed second in the team cup in badminton.
In adapted sports, 10 titles were achieved in disciplines such as sitting volleyball, athletics and adapted swimming.
Other results were fourth place in men’s futsal, fifth place for Priscila Pereyra in fencing and seventh place for the women’s volleyball team, its best position in the history of these Games.
For the first time, San Luis won a medal in extreme sports. The women’s volleyball team placed seventh, the best position achieved by the province in its participation.
