The Sports Board undertakes the remodeling of the tennis courts of the Rey Juan Carlos Sports Center

The TechnoSport company has been in charge of carrying out the work, which consisted of placing a new artificial grass surface on the old porous concrete.

The Municipal Sports Board of Ciudad Real City Council continues with its maintenance and improvement plan for the sports facilities and one of the latest works it is carrying out, and which is very close to completion, is the comprehensive remodeling of the two courts tennis court at the Rey Juan Carlos Sports Center.

“This is a new investment that we believed was necessary,” highlights Pau Beltrán, Sports Councilor, “we have also agreed on it with the people who practice this sport and with the tennis club, with Pedro (Bellón) at its head, who He is also coordinator of the racquet schools and campus, and they wanted a surface like this. We had a surface that was quite damaged and we considered that it was ideal to change it to this new surface that is like the one we have in the South Sports City, where people are very happy.”

The work has also integrated the renovation of the lighting, replacing the old one with new ones with LED technology. All of this with a cost of around €40,000 and some work that is being carried out by a land company such as TechnoSport, whose commercial manager, Juan Fernando Ruiz, has detailed the work: “What we are doing is laying artificial sports grass , a special grass for playing tennis and paddle tennis, in green, which is weighted with sand and marked with a grass line. And what this is going to do is remodel the track, removing all the cracks it had, leaving a new playing alternative, and modernizing in every aspect what was bad before.”
