The NFL regular season is still halfway through, and the LIX Super Bowl isn’t until February 9th. But American football fans are already discussing the ‘leaked’ script pitting the Detroit Lions against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Over the past few days, a compilation of the game’s results has been making the rounds on social media, as seen on Google. According to this guess, the Chiefs will maintain a perfect winning record of 17-0 and win the Super Bowl. They are currently the best team in the American Conference (9-0). The Lions are currently the best team in the National Conference with just one loss (8-1).
There are still eight midweek games left, giving other teams plenty of time to turn things around, including the Minnesota Vikings, who are closely following the Lions in their group (7-2).
The reaction to the leaked script was “not impossible“, to those who celebrate such a close result, to those who are more skeptical and particularly harsh on the Chiefs.
“Haha, there’s a 0% chance the Chiefs score 54 points against the Lions D,” NFL writer John Frascellasays: “The Chiefs can’t even score 23 points per game, let alone 54 points,” he joked. @showtimehcky. We’ll be back in a few weeks to find out if this is just a joke or the work of a modern-day Nostradamus…
