This weekend the 55th edition of the San Francisco – Miramar Double for men and the 2nd edition for women will take place. The competition will take place between Saturday and Sunday, with the participation of almost 170 cyclists in total, who will travel the roads from San Francisco to Miramar, round trip.
The organization will be in charge of the Sportivo Belgrano Cycling Department and will be supervised by the Cordoban Cycling Federation. This will be the first time that both events are held together, making it a unique edition in the country.
Men’s career
For the men’s edition, 19 teams have already been confirmed, with around 110 cyclists. Among the notable names are Alejandro Ortiz from San Francisco and the winner of a previous edition, Adrián Gariboldi, who will compete with the KTM team. Additionally, the Oasis Pool team will feature riders entirely from San Francisco. In the 3 Cumbres de Freyre, the native of our city Eduardo Parks will be there, while Maximiliano Almada will compete for one of the two teams presented by the Municipality of Pehuajó.
Other confirmed teams include Bragado Cicles, Municipalidad de Totoral, and the Colla/Roark A and B teams, among others. In addition, the presence of renowned cyclists such as Santiago Giomi and Cristian Clavero is expected.
Women’s race
In the women’s edition, 11 teams have been confirmed so far, with a total of 60 cyclists. Two of these teams will feature cyclists from San Francisco. Dahyana Boetto will compete for Bragado Cicles, while Valeria Bianco will compete in the 3 Cumbres de Freyre. Teams such as Giomi Competition, Braghette Prezioso and Rower, among others, will also be present.
One of the main figures will be Micaela Gutiérrez, who will defend the title of the first edition of the women’s event. However, this time he will compete with the Pablo González team, not with Buona Vitta, with whom he achieved victory last year.
