The Tournament without borders reaches its XXV edition – Italian Baseball Softball Federation

The Italian Baseball Softball Federation has accepted and approved the request of the Junior Alpina club to organize the XXV Tournament Without Borders. A historic date that of the twenty-fifth opponent of the tournament, which bases its foundations on the structure that made it an international success. As in past years, there will be three different competitions and two disciplines involved: under 12 and under 15 baseball and men’s softball, with its Italian open fastpitch XI.

The first phase of the event, which will take place from 17 to 20 July 2025, will be dedicated to under 12 category baseball. The regulations provide for the participation of 8 teams, which will be divided into 2 groups. The admitted vintages will be those from 2013 to 2016.

The week following the U12 tournament will be dedicated to the under 15 baseball category. As with the younger ones, 8 teams are expected to participate in this competition. For each match, 2 points will be awarded to the winning team, 1 point to both in the event of a tie and 0 points to the loser. The 2 best teams will enter the five-inning final without a time limit. The athletes admitted will be those in the age groups from 2012 to 2010, with the exception of a player born in 2009 who can only play the role of winger. At the discretion of the participating clubs, athletes born in the 2013 year will also be allowed to participate.

To conclude this year’s event, as in past editions, an event will be played that has always guaranteed high numbers of spectators among fans of the sector: the eleventh Italian Open of men’s softball, which will take place on the diamonds of Ronchi dei Legionari and Street Castions. The days dedicated to this event will be from 10 to 12 October 2025.
