The Vigo company Cíes Obra Civil will be in charge of carrying out the comprehensive renovation of the Senior Assistant building, at the entrance to the Arsenal Park Gate, which will thus recover its original appearance, from the 18th century.
The Municipality has awarded the works for an amount of around 510,000 euros, which represents a reduction of about 90,000 euros with respect to the tender budget.
The offer from the olive firm has been selected from among the five that were submitted to the competition. From the signing of the contract, Cíes will have three months to deliver the works.
The intervention proposed in the specifications for this property will dispense with all the annexes that were built over the years on the three floors of which it consists.
The interior will be completely new and, in fact, a few months ago it was completely emptied in a preliminary performance. In this way, the two floors will be raised and reconstructed to adapt the free heights and make use of the space below deck, and a new interior layout will be made for a home with four bedrooms, kitchen, living room, representation area on the ground floor, two bathrooms and two toilets. In addition, in the northern annex on the ground floor the office use for the security checkpoint will be maintained.
