The viral buzz around the name of Frenchman Moussa Diabaté in the United States: “Le FC…

Still imperial against the Pistons, Moussa Diabaté put together great performances in rebounding and defense. Everyone in the NBA microcosm now knows his name… which has also led to some pretty hilarious sequences on the web.

Clearly, no one seems able to stop Moussa Diabaté! The Frenchman was once again uncompromising under his circle last night, in the Hornets’ victory against Detroit. We especially remembered the offensive card of LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller (73 points in total), but the performance of the former Clipper was just as important.

Unlike his two friends, the interior was not very productive in scoring with only a small point. On the other hand, he left no ball to his opponents with no less than 16 rebounds including seven offensive ones, all accompanied by three blocks. He has been associated with the legendary Dennis Rodman for a few games now, and Diabaté seems determined to live up to that comparison as much as possible.

When US fans smear the name of Moussa Diabaté

Still under two-way contract in North Carolina, the Habs should however quickly obtain promotion if we trust the words of his trainer. In any case, he has been fully adopted by the local fans who adore his energy and his sense of sacrifice, he who does not hesitate to take care of the tasks behind the scenes. One Internet user in particular, however, created a somewhat lunar buzz… around his surname:

@kawhi_ring : FC Diabète has again claimed a victim (referring to its duel with opposing pivot Jalen Duren, editor’s note)

We know that American fans sometimes have difficulty pronouncing the names of European players…or writing them, obviously. Something to amuse more than one person on the web:

@kamannzii : Diabetes ? 😭😭😂

@slickorey : Damn diabetes has locked everything

@BCTAKEOVR : He beat them with his wand

All joking aside, Diabaté’s impact in Charlotte is undeniable. Without him, the Hornets simply have… the worst defensive rating in history with 121.5 points conceded per game. With him, this total drops to 96.4 units per match… or no less than 25 points difference, which is absolutely staggering for a single player. Under these conditions, keeping him in the long term seems to have literally become a priority in Buzz City.

Moussa Diabaté does not contribute much in attack, but his contribution in defense is worthy of the best in the world. The Hornets can in any case rejoice in his presence… all that remains is for the supporters to spell his name correctly.
