Victor Wembanyama had a great rookie campaign with the Spurs, the best in a very long time in the league. Can anyone do better? For some, this is already the case for the Sixers.
Omnipresent since his arrival at Spurs, Victor Wembanyama had an exceptional rookie campaign last year. A rookie of the year title, with the added bonus of a second place for the DPOY. He probably wasn’t very far from the All-Star Game either, even if you’ll have to be patient to see him at the All-Star Game.
No doubt, Wemby’s campaign is crazy, and his second could still allow him to break a few records NBA. But will a rookie be able to do better than him in the more or less near future? Not impossible for Sixers fans, who highlight the exploits of the young phenomenon, Jared McCain.
One more competitor for Wembanyama?
And this is not necessarily trivial, especially when we see the rookie’s statistics since he became a starter for the Sixers. We are talking about the best player at the start of the season in Philly, with 26 points on average (as a starter), which is the highest total since a certain Michael Jordan. This commands respect.
McCain surprises a lot of people, but it’s a pleasant surprise for supporters. Some are also very clear: his rookie campaign is superior to that of Wembanyama for the moment.

There is no doubt that this Internet user is not lonely, even if it is a little early to judge. Will McCain continue like this for a long time, or will he hit the famous rookie wall? Anything seems possible at this point.
In the comments, reactions are divided. Yes, McCain is doing some great things, but to say it’s a better season than Wembanyama? Seems ridiculous after less than 15 games.

Better than Wembanyama or not, McCain is making some noise with the Sixers. It is too early to judge him, but it is a welcome addition for the supporters.
Victor Wembanyama is definitely debated among certain supporters, even about his rookie campaign. Jared McCain shines at the Sixers and yet, it is far too early to compare him to the Frenchman. Not seen what he achieved at Spurs.
