The mayor, Juan Franco, and the president of the Geiko Sports Club, Juan Carlos Domínguez, have presented the X Judo Stage that will take place on December 13 and 14 at the Club’s facilities and at the Municipal Sports Center.
The speakers will be Yolanda Soler, Olympic medalist and champion of Europe and Spain, along with her daughter, Ariane Toro Soler, who this year won the bronze medal in the European Judo Championship and participated in the Paris Olympics.
Domínguez expressed his satisfaction at having Yolanda Soler again ten years after being one of the speakers at the first stage, held in 2014. He praised the careers of both athletes and the high level that their presence gives to La Línea de la Concepción, which This year it will receive more than 350 judokas from all over Spain and Portugal, thus contributing to the social revitalization and economy of the municipality.
The mayor highlighted the work of Juan Carlos Domínguez at the head of the Geiko Club, considering him one of the leaders of judo in the area, a sport that he has been practicing for 46 years. He also highlighted the success that the judo stage achieves every year and the high level of its speakers.
The X Stage of Judo is organized by the Geiko Sports Club, with the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Cádiz and the collaboration of the municipal Sports delegation.
