There were chances, but no goals. Konice fell with Zábřeh

The match between Konica and Zábřekh literally ended with a football score. A single goal was enough for the team from Šumperk to win. In addition, a mistake from a standard situation. Konice had plenty of opportunities, but she didn’t use any of them. Konice confirmed the trend from the end of autumn: that is, alternating matches in which it scores with those in which it has to do without a point.

Team coach Petr Ullmann was asked to evaluate the match. And he started unconventionally from the end. “We left disappointed, I think we played a very good match,” stated Petr Ullmann. He did not complain about the lack of chances of his wards. “We had more chances than the home team. In the first half, we kicked around 10 corners, there were jams, Jašíček and Patrik Krása overshot,” said Petr Ullmann. “We were more active, better on the ball and more dangerous in set pieces,” he added. However, efficiency was at the opponent’s feet. “Then we didn’t guard the standard from the side, the opponent made it 1:0,” regretted Petr Ullmann.

Despite the intermediate score, Ullmann was rather positive at halftime. “At halftime, I was praising the players, telling them to keep going,” he said of what was happening in the cabin. And it worked. “The second half was balanced. We had a hundred percent chance. Pavlíček crossed, Jašíček headed just wide. We should have equalized there,” recalled Petr Ullmann. The conclusion was traditionally hectic. Both teams could score. “At the end, the opponent ran away, gave the crossbar. In the end, Jašíček had a penalty kick, he overshot,” said Petr Ullmann.

The final evaluation despite the defeat is not negative. On the contrary. “We did not disappoint, the boys played well. With the difference that football is played for goals. And efficiency decided. The standard was enough for the opponent. We didn’t score a goal out of a bunch of chances,” coach Konice regretted. On the contrary, he praised the performance of the players and their attitude. “I praise the players, they played at their best. A draw would have suited the match better. But football is like that. We have to prepare for the match in Velká Bystřice. We will train, try to surprise them and see what happens,” he looks to the near future.

Eskačko still undefeated at home

In the fifteenth round, Mohelnice visited Prostějov, which wanted to end the streak of the home selection without defeat on its own field. However, she didn’t succeed either and the home team managed to clearly defeat their soka with two goals in the first and two in the second half.

“From the beginning of the match, we purposefully went for the victory. We played disciplined and organized, which was reflected in the overall course of the match. Although the opponent was physically mature and threatened mainly from standard situations, in the end he was able to create perhaps only one shot on goal for the entire match. After the opening goal, Mohelnice seemed surrendered, without juice and any team cooperation, which made the way to three points much easier for us,” commented assistant coach Dominik Bokůvka, who played the match.

“We gave a very good performance and I would like to praise this player – I would like to see such a determined and focused approach in every game. I am also happy that Kralická tvrvz is holding us in the autumn part, where we once again managed to confirm our excellent form. However, we need to score points from outside to confirm our strength and move to the rungs where we would like to move,” concluded Bokůvka.

Čechovice has important points

The rescue battle took place in Čechovice on Saturday afternoon, where the home team welcomed their opponents from Brodek u Přerov. Both teams wanted to reach a better tomorrow with a point gain, and the home team was more successful, collecting six points in three games under the leadership of temporary coach Koláček.

“There is satisfaction with the match. We realized that this was a very important duel. But the road to victory was not entirely easy. In the first half, the opponent was a hair better. He had hints of chances there and even hit the post. But there were no goals until half-time,” Lukáš Koláček began his assessment.

The home side started the second half much better. “Right at the start, Halouzka hit the crossbar and Racek kicked over the empty goal. I was worried that we wouldn’t regret it, but a moment later Adam Jurníček made his way through the corner and sent us into the lead with his head. Then we managed to take advantage of a gross mistake by the visitors’ stopper and Šteigl was able to take advantage of this situation. We took care of the rest of the game,” Koláček continued.

From the next match, Tomáš Novák will lead the team together with Lukáš Koláček. “Unfortunately, we still haven’t been able to find a coach. But I need to devote myself to my duties as a player, and the agreement for the last two rounds is that Tomáš Novák will lead the team from the substitutes and I will help him. I believe that we will already have a coach for the winter training,” concluded Koláček
