The trial is over and there is a sentence. Roberto Omar Ali (35) alias “Tito”, the singer of La Liga, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for having sexually abused from a friend of his daughter, 11 years old. The cumbiero had been in preventive detention since 2023.

The facts and Tito’s defense

For his part, Tito pleaded not guilty. “He said he was innocent and that he wanted justice to be done. That it was a false complaint based on the fact that the mother introduced this to the girl because she had left her without a job,” said Varela. The musician also maintained that “all artists receive similar complaints.”
