With the holding of a marathon and the last awards, this weekend the 2024 edition of the Buenos Aires Gameswith a medal table that once again had the representatives of the Lomas de Zamora party at the top.
These were the 33rd games of the main sports and cultural competition in the province of Buenos Aires, organized by the Ministry of Community Development and which this year once again had a record number of registrations.

More than 26 thousand finalists from 135 municipalities competed for six days in the 119 stages distributed in Mar del Plata and surrounding areas.
Firstly, the Lomese delegation took the highest place in the medal table for the third consecutive year.
Lomas de Zamora was crowned champion with 34 gold medals, 14 silver and 10 bronze. The three-time champions stood out in disciplines such as skating, athletics, aquathlon, table tennis, swimming, goalball, volleyball, 3 x 3 basketball, skateboarding, hockey, shuffleboard, judo, fishing, taekwondo, beach soccer, literature and vocal soloist, among others. .
After that, the representatives of the La Matanza district placed themselves in second position in the medal table with 32 gold, 22 silver and 18 bronze.
In the last place on the podium was the commune of Quilmes, which completed a medal table with 28 gold, 20 silver and 6 bronze respectively.
General Pueyrredon, the host, came in fifth place behind La Plata. Next were Florencio Varela (6th), Almirante Brown (7th) and Berazategui (8th).
Finally, Moreno (9th) and Merlo (10th) were among the top ten.

Closing with the “Bonaerenses en Carrera” marathon
The “Bonaerenses en Carrera” marathon was the featured event of the final day of the games, with the participation of the 135 municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires in the youth, seniors and people with disabilities categories, both male and female.
More than 700 participants covered the 10-kilometer circuit, which had its starting point in Plaza España, in the La Perla neighborhood of Mar del Plata.
In addition, the day included award ceremonies in disciplines such as handball, volleyball, basketball, basket ball, pelota, badminton, vocal soloist and plastic arts, among others.
This year, the Buenos Aires Games had a record participation, with more than 470 thousand people registered, and four stages of development: municipal, regional, interregional and final.

12,000 million pesos for the games
Promoted by the Ministry of Community Development led by Andrés Larroque, they consecrate the effort and dedication of participants from across the province, strengthening integration, sport and culture in every corner of the territory.
For its realization, the provincial government invested more than 12 billion pesos, which represents four times more than what the Nation allocates for the Evita 2024 Games.
Los Buenos Aires Games have been carried out uninterruptedly since 1992 and year after year they are consolidated as the most important and most deployed sports policy in the country.
