Last weekend, The Kanpai Judo Club of Jaca performed excellently in the Aragón Absolute Judo Championshipheld in Monzalbarba. With four judokas in the competition, the club demonstrated its high level and commitment, achieving three medals and an outstanding fifth place.
One silver and two bronze medals for Kanpai
The Kanpai teacher and coach Leo Cruz won the silver medal in the -73 kg category. After winning three fights, Cruz advanced to the final, where he fell just short of the title by falling in the last match. This medal ensures him a place in the Spanish Championship sector. It will be in Barbastro on November 16.
Besides, The judokas David García and Juan Gordo completed a very good performance by winning two bronze medals in the -60 kg and -81 kg categories, respectively. Both showed great skill and effort in each fight, reflecting the excellent work done during the season.
Ignacio Gracia achieved a creditable fifth place. Unfortunately, an injury in the last fight prevented him from continuing in the competition.
