The Canadians lost to NBA leaders Cleveland Cavaliers 108:122. Apart from being 2-0, Toronto was always behind the NBA leader. Cleveland, led by Donovan Mitchell and Ty Jerome with 26 points each, achieved its tenth consecutive home win. Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick each scored 18 points for the Raptors, who are back in action against the Detroit Pistons on Monday and are looking for their first win abroad.
Defending champion Boston Celtics were able to rely on Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, who were responsible for 29 and 26 points, respectively, in their 107:105 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Miami beats Dallas
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets celebrated an away win. The team from New York won 108:103 at the Sacramento Kings and celebrated their seventh success in the 17th game. Brooklyn guard Cam Thomas excelled with 34 points.
