Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester City with pleasure (0-4) at the Etihad Stadium. Before the opening whistle, Rodri Hernández’s Ballon d’Or was presented in style to the crowd of fans who filled the stadium, but since the Spaniard’s injury the Manchester club has not raised its head.
City is on its worst streak in its recent history with five consecutive defeats. Curiously, it was Postecoglou’s Tottenham that started this succession of lost games, with the 2-1 scoreline on October 30 in the FA Cup.

Maddison put the visitors ahead with a double in the first twenty minutes, increasing the score to 2-0 at the end of the first half. The break was not favorable for City, who as soon as the second half began was punished by an impeccable Pedro Porro. In the minutes of stoppage time, Brennan Johnson, who came off the bench, sealed the result and added the fourth goal for the Spurs.
This is the fourth time that the Catalan coach has seen his team concede four goals without being able to score any. The first occasion was in the Champions League when he coached Bayern Munich, against Real Madrid, in the 2013/2014 season.
In the group stage of the Champions League in the 2016/2017 season, as City coach, he received another 4-0 by FC Barcelona and lastly, in the Premier League of that same year, Everton scored another four to the ‘citizen’ team at Goodison Park.
