De’Andre Hunter (26 pts), Jalen Johnson (22 pts) and Zaccharie Risacher (13 of his 17 pts in the first three minutes of the second half) were decisive for Atlanta, but it was Young who was the most impressive this night, with a 3-point basket to give 7 points to advance to the Hawks in money time.

The Cavs could have become the first team to start a season at 18-1, but fell heavily despite Donovan Mitchell (30 pts) and Evan Mobley (22 pts, 13 rebounds).

Tyrese Maxey (39 pts) gave hope to the Sixers by equalizing to snatch overtime against Houston with 11 seconds remaining. But the All-Star guard did not score a single basket during overtime and Philadelphia lost for the 14th time in 17 matches this season. Andrew Wiggins brought Golden State to within one point on a winning basket with 11 seconds left, but was blocked by Luguentz Dort on a lay up attempt to tie the score in the process.

– One of the surprises of the evening came from Phoenix, where the Suns were swept away by the Nets, who were nevertheless very penniless, with for example the absence for several weeks of walking firecracker Cam Thomas. Despite the presence of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, Phoenix was in great defensive difficulty, particularly in handling the unexpected. Tyrese Martinauthor of his career record with 30 points, and Dennis Schröder (29 pts).

This is the 4th victory in a row for the Grizzlies, who are doing well in the West.

The Wolves have lost 7 of their last 9 matches.

Rudy Gobert still had to settle for defensive work (9 pts, 7 rebounds, 4 blks at 2/2).

– The combined returns of Dejounte Murray and CJ McCollum brought some comfort to the hearts of the Pelicans, but not enough to avoid a very clear defeat (119-93) against the Raptors who were nevertheless winnable on paper. NOLA lost its 6th game in a row and its 15th in the last 17… Ochai Agbaji and Jamison Battle both scored 24 points, with RJ Barrett adding 22. Toronto had yet to win away from home this season .
