During the Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Benfica in Germany, an incident occurred with a person in one of the stands that ended up taking their life.
According to reports, the spectator had to receive emergency medical treatment on Wednesday, November 6, when the first part of the match was taking place.
The health personnel carried out the emergency intervention for half an hour in the southeast sector of the Allianz Arena stadium and tried to revive the fan on several occasions.
The event, which occurred while the game continued, caused a large part of the fans to remain silent while waiting for what was happening and as an act of respect for the person.
After several minutes of medical maneuvers, the person had to be transferred to a hospital and died while being taken to that location.
“About an hour after the final whistle, the club received the sad news that the fan had died on the way to the hospital. FC Bayern is mourning alongside his family”the club published in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday.
In the same press release, the German club indicated that the event “shadowed” la victoria 1-0 against al Benfica de Lisboa.
“A medical emergency in the stands of the Allianz Arena cast a shadow over the match from the start.Out of consideration, the ‘Südkurve’ refrained from the usual noisy support for their team, and the club also reduced its coverage of the match.”he added.
With the recent victory, Bayern Munich added 6 points in the Champions League and was placed in box number 17 in the standings.
