“Tuning” meeting on the A4: Traffic Police fines several modified vehicles

The State Police services continue to combat driving behavior that constitutes a danger to road traffic.

In recent days, in the evening hours, officers of the Novara Traffic Police Section, of the Novara Est Subsection and of the Local Police of Arluno (MI) paid attention to the parking area of ​​the A4 motorway located near the Arluno bus lane , where around twenty people had gathered, including tuning enthusiasts (a term used to indicate the activity of modifying vehicles to obtain advantages in terms of power and aesthetic characteristics), some of whom were on board cars that had construction characteristics and modified components, as found by the uniformed officers engaged in the aforementioned service.

With a synergistic action and in implementation of a carefully planned device, the vehicles and their drivers and passengers were checked.
In total, twenty people were identified and in-depth checks were carried out on fifteen vehicles. In total, five fines were imposed for violations of the highway code and the registration certificate was withdrawn for one vehicle, as it will have to undergo an inspection.
For all sanctioned vehicles, reports were forwarded to the Civil Motorization Office for unauthorized modifications or inefficiency of components relating to road safety.

Please note that changes to the construction and functional characteristics of vehicles in circulation, if not approved by the competent offices of the Department for Transport and Navigation, entail the administrative sanction of paying a sum from Euro 430.00 to Euro 1,731.00, as well as being able to negatively impact the safety of the vehicle itself.
