The anti-crime activity of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Ragusa continues uninterruptedly, with particular regard to violations relating to weapons.
In particular, on the night of the 13th, the Carabinieri of the Scoglitti station, during a road traffic control service, proceeded to inspect a car driven by a Tunisian citizen identified in BBR, cl.94. During the police activity, the soldiers first checked the regularity of the driving documents and the vehicle and, subsequently, becoming suspicious of the driver’s behavior, they carried out further checks inside the passenger compartment, ascertaining that the man had hidden, behind on the driver’s seat, a 50 cm long wooden stick, similar to a baseball bat, the possession of which was found to be without justified reason.
Once the operations on site were completed, the Carabinieri first seized the wooden stick and, after having fully identified BBR, handed him over to the Judicial Authority in a state of freedom for the crime of illicit possession of objects capable of offending.
