To celebrate the 50th anniversary of judo in Saint-Renan, the Dojo du pays de Saint-Renan saw things big. On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the club is planning several meetings for its members and the public, in the presence of two Olympic medalist judokas who will come to host this anniversary day: Cyrille Maret, bronze medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics and multiple world medalist , and Guillaume Chaîne, Olympic mixed team champion in Tokyo in 2021. Training led by the champions will take place in the training hall. Trévisquin, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for categories from 14 years old to veterans, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for young people aged 10 to 13 years old.
Gala at 4:30 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., the big judo gala will begin in the presence of young people from the club who will take the stage to show the public the demonstrations prepared for weeks. “This gala will also be an opportunity to see the adult judokas in action and to present the rewards to the athletes who distinguished themselves the previous season at the hands of our distinguished guests,” indicates Emmanuel Calvez, head coach of the Dojo.
