The numbers of the challenge

The match which will be staged in Arlington should bring together – according to forecasts – around 25 million viewers among season ticket holders. Tickets range from 37 to 50 thousand dollars for the front rows, with ringside suites that will allow you to enjoy the event a few meters away from the protagonists (on sale for VIPs at 2 million). Talk about grants: 40 million dollars will go to Paul, the creator, while 20 will go to Tyson. The event takes on a particular charm also because the 58-year-old Tyson returns to the ring 19 years after the last time. Not only that: Paul, who has a record of 9 wins and one knockout, has never been knocked out and increased his weight by 14 kilos for the occasion. Tyson, who hasn’t fought for a while, had instead collected 50 victories in his career (44 of these by knockout) and 6 defeats. Numbers that led the Texas boxing commission to decide on some changes to the regulations: in the meantime there will be heavier gloves, 14 ounces, to lighten the blows. And then 8 rounds of 2 minutes, to make the confrontation less tough from a physical point of view.
