“Dream Tennis ARIAKE”, sponsored by IMG (International Management Group), was started in 2011 as a charity event for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, at the request of player Kei Nishikori. This year, it will be held at Ariake Coliseum for the first time in seven years as a charity event for the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
Kei Nishikori, who has returned to the ATP Tour in earnest this season and is currently ranked 107th, as well as wheelchair tennis legend Shingo Kunieda, and Kaito Oda, the youngest gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Many members are expected to participate. In addition to the heated singles, there are also doubles pairings that can only be seen here.
U-NEXT agrees with the purpose of this event and is the first title sponsor for a live tennis broadcast. “U-NEXT presents Dream Tennis ARIAKE” plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to JTA’s Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief Fund.

Mochizuki, who made it to the top four at the 2023 Kinoshita Group Japan Open, will face off against Sakamoto, who won the 2024 Australian Open Junior. NEW Mix is a doubles game in which a wheelchair player and a regular player form a pair. The legendary pair of Nishikori and Kunieda, who have led the Japanese tennis world, will take on the next generation of notable players, the pair of Sakamoto and Oda.
