The seventh failure in 11 games of the season was experienced by the Latvian champions floorball school “Masters”/Ulbrokas floorball players, who met the team “Irlava”/SK “Slampe”/”Zevid” in an away match of the Latvian Premier League.
Already in the first third, the home team had achieved a three-goal advantage (4:1), which the guests managed to reduce to a minimum (4:5) in the middle of the second period. However, at the end of the regular time, the risk of playing without a goalkeeper was not justified for the Ulbroka team, and three more lost goals cost the whole game – 4:9.
The best player in FS “Masters” was Eddy Šenberg, who had two goals and one assist. The “Ķekava/RB&B” team (24 points in 10 games) is in second place in the Premier League tournament table, three points behind the leaders Talsu NSS/”Krauzers”. The sixth place is occupied by FBK “SĀC”/”Enfrijo” (13 points) and the seventh by FS “Masters”/Ulbroka (11 points).
During the last few days, the clubs of Pierīgas fared much better in the tournaments of the first and second leagues of Latvia. Floorball club “Baloži” achieved its fifth success in six matches in the first league, beating Lievārde sports center/Ogres team. In the first two thirds, the representatives of Ķekava region scored one goal each, in the third – two, but they conceded the only goal four minutes before the end of regular time – 4:1. In the western group, “Paloži” takes the second place (13 points).
The victory – only the second in six games – was won by the floorball players of Baloži “Ķekava Bulldogs”. They scored the first three and the last three goals in the game against the FBK “Valmiera”/Valmiera sports school team and celebrated an 8:3 victory (3+0 for Emil Kaš, 2+0 for Markus Eisan).
After the points earned during the season (six each), the “bulldogs” have overtaken the second team “SĀC”/”CrowdedHero” of the “SĀC” club, which is in sixth place in the table of the Eastern group.
On the other hand, the floorball players of Inčukalna club “Coyote”/”Tobio” have become the leaders of the table of the Eastern group of the second league, who won the sixth victory in seven matches over the team “Pēdu nav/Valmiera province”. Before the third period, the Coyotes were down 2-4, but then scored four shots in a row and three more in the last two minutes (two of them into empty nets). Victory 10:7 (Jānis Levanović 3+3, Kristians Miller and Mārtiņš Zicmanis 2+0 each).
Both “Coyote” and “Aizkraukle/Koknese” have 18 points, but they have played one game less.
