Unexplained Disappearance of Unić’s Coach: How a New Debut Led to Victory Over Frýdek

According to information from the Journal, he ended up on his own and without any agreement, he should have just returned the things and left.

“I am currently abroad where I am finalizing the terms of a new engagement. I will provide more information at the end of the week,” Petar Aleksijević responded to Deník’s question about his end at the club.

David Bača, the current assistant and former Uničov player, replaced him in the position of head coach. And his former teammates prepared a great debut for him.

In the first half, they were clearly the better team against Frýdek-Místek, and the visitors had problems getting within range of the goal, which this time was guarded by Kvapil instead of Krále.

Uničov turned the advantage into two goals. Striker Tomáš Komenda scored his tenth goal of the season after just nineteen minutes, in whose goal Vojtěch Werani had his fingers.

The same player encouraged Jakub Svoboda to score in the 28th minute. At first, it looked like Werani’s pass for the defense would be long, but goalkeeper Frýdka hesitated and stopped during the run. Svoboda took the ball, made a loop to the goalkeeper and made it 2:0.

The home side hit the post in the first half. The second half did not offer much football beauty. Uničov guarded the lead, but in the end he let Frýdek-Místek score. However, there was no drama and final pressure, and Uničov celebrated a 2:1 victory.

“We went into the match thinking we wanted to secure the midfield and get rebounds, which the boys did brilliantly throughout the match. I want to thank them for how they approached the match. The only problem is that we didn’t keep a clean sheet,” briefly assessed David Bača, for whom it was the premiere in the role of head coach.

“Good job, coach,” laughed captain Tomáš Komenda towards his former teammate after the match.

The new coach Rojko?

It is not officially certain whether David Bača will lead the team in the remaining autumn matches as well. However, a replacement for Petar Aleksijević should be given. Uničov’s matches were visited many times during the season by the former coach of Lutín, Přerov and most recently Zlínsk David Rojka, who after the end of the duel also headed to the bowels of Uničov’s stadium with one of the officials. During his active career in Uničov, the former league forward spent half a year on loan from Sigma Olomouc also as a player.
