According to the server iSport.cz the representatives of the table leader complain about Lukáš Vácha’s behavior towards Ondřej Linger, whom he should have called a “gypsy”.

Although at the press conference after the end of the duel, the coach of Východočech David Horejš defended his implementation team, the club commented on the whole situation during Monday morning.

“First of all, the East Bohemian Club wants to express zero tolerance for any manifestations of racism. The club from the city under the White Tower is very sorry that such behavior appeared in this duel in its ranks,” reads a statement on the club’s website.

Vácha himself, who himself has a past in the stitched jersey where he started his career, commented on the situation. He played 215 duels as a midfielder in the highest Czech competition and won two championships.

“I regret to admit that I called him a word that I now sincerely regret. I uttered it with great emotion, which I should have suppressed. After the match, I went to see Ondra in the visitors’ cabin to apologize to him personally. He accepted my apology on the spot, we shook hands,” added Vácha.

Disciplinary Committee

“The facts that occurred in the match will be dealt with by the disciplinary committee at its regular Thursday proceedings. It can be assumed that, based on the information from the match minutes, disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against Mr. Vácha and he (the commission) will be summoned to the next meeting. The Disciplinary Commission will carefully collect additional materials and does not rule out summoning additional witnesses.” LFA spokesman Pavel Jahoda described to Radiožurnála Sport.

The case will now be dealt with by the LFA Disciplinary Committee. In March, she handed down a record eight-month sentence to Petr Rada, the coach of the then second division Dukla Prague, who insulted former Zbrojovka coach Tomáš Polách by calling him a “desperate gypsy” during a match with Brno. In the end, the appeals commission reduced Rad’s sentence to a three-month ban on activities, leaving the fine of 80,000 crowns.
