Micky van de Ven is sidelined for several weeks due to a hamstring injury and is in danger of missing the Nations League matches of the Dutch national team against Hungary (November 16) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (November 19).

The Tottenham Hotspur defender was injured in the League Cup match against Manchester City (2-1 win) on Wednesday and left the field emotionally in the fourteenth minute.

‘It’s not too serious’

This time last year, a hamstring injury cost him two months. This time, Van de Ven will probably have a shorter recovery period, according to Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou.

“It’s not too serious, but we’ll probably focus on the games after the international break,” Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou said today.
