For the first time in its history Venezuela won the South American U15 women’s basketball championship. The team, led by David DurΓ‘n, won the final against Colombia by a score of 72-59.
Venezuela was crowned at the Bolivarian Dome in Barquisimeto and joined the group of teams that have won the tournament: Brazil, Argentina and Chile. For those from Colombia it was their second consecutive silver medal, the third in their history.
