Venezuelan José Altuve won the seventh Silver Slugger in his career, to lead a group of eleven Latin players who were selected as the best offensive players in the 2024 Major League season.
The winners of the American and National Leagues, as well as the best offensive team in each of them, were announced by the MLB.
Altuve, winner at second base in the AL, was once again a pillar for the Astros with a batting average of .295, with 20 home runs and 95 runs.
At second base in the NL, Dominican Ketel Marte, of the Diamondbacks, achieved personal bests in home runs (36) and runs batted in (95) to win his first award of this type.

For his part, Venezuelan Salvador Pérez, of the Royals, led American catchers in RBIs (104) to place his fifth award in his cabinet, while his compatriot William Contreras, of the Brewers, set personal records in home runs. (23) and RBIs (92) to take his first prize in the National.
