Venezuelan Judo Federation donated competition tatami to Monaco athletes

This Sunday, November 10, the Venezuelan Federation of Judo (Fevejudo) donated to the Monagas Association the tatami that was used during the competitions of this discipline in the 2024 Oriente National Games, which took place at the Hotel San Miguel de Maturín.

The president of Fevejudo, Katiuska Santaella, explained that the delivery was made with the intention of strengthening the development of judo in Monagas.

“We hope that this tatami will be very useful for young people to develop their talent and be able to compete at the national level,” he noted.

The president of the Monagas Judo Association, Jesús Bolívar, on behalf of the entity’s judokas, expressed his gratitude for the donation.

“We are grateful to the Venezuelan Judo Federation, to its president, Katiuska Santaella, for giving us this tatami so that our boys can continue preparing.”

It should be noted that in these National Games the judokas Gabriela Roca, in the 78 kilo category, and Leonardo Rivero, in the 81 kilo category, placed fifth in their respective categories.

This is the new tatami that Monaco judocas will use for their preparation.
