ISERNIA. Not exactly easy days for the mayor of Isernia Piero Castrataro due to the well-known recent events at Palazzo San Francesco, linked to the resignation of the deputy mayor Federica Vinci. And messages of solidarity have arrived for the mayor.
The first comes from the regional secretariat of the Italian Left which in a note “expresses solidarity with the mayor Piero Castrataro, the target of unjustified and exploitative attacks in recent days and renews its trust and support for the mayor of Isernia. In a Region struggling with mountains of debt, collapsing healthcare, entire communities without water for months, increasingly dilapidated transport and with a regional ruling class distracted by the distribution of delegations and undersecretaries, it was thought appropriate to turn the spotlight on a purely political issue which has already been resolved with the appointment of a new deputy mayor. So much noise (in Isernia) to probably cover the nothingness that envelops the rest of Molise. But there is still a lot to do for the pentro capital and we are convinced that the administrative activity will soon regain new momentum, the only great priority is to face and solve the city’s many problems”.
