The Checkers beat the Hershey Bears 4-2 (2-1, 0-0, 2-1).

Vilmanis had assists on Charlotte’s second and third goals, which were scored in the majority. During his time on the ice, he also scored once, had a neutral efficiency ratio and was recognized as the third star of the match.

In yet another game, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton “Penguins” represented by Raivy Anson defeated Hartford “Wolf Pack” 2:1 (0:0, 2:1, 0:0) at home. Anson recorded one shot on goal and finished the match with a negative efficiency coefficient of -1.

On the other hand, the “Lehigh Valley Phantoms” of Allentown, without Rodrigo Abolas, won 5:2 (1:0, 2:1, 2:1) over the “Thunderbirds” of Springfield.

In the overall standings of the AHL Eastern Conference, the Checkers are fourth with 12 points in seven matches, the Penguins are fifth with 12 points in eight matches, and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms are tenth among 15 teams with eight points.

Last season, the Hershey “Bears” became AHL champions for the second year in a row, beating the Riverside “Coachella Valley Firebirds” 4-2 in the final series.
