Tarquinia: “Code Red: practical application, use of IT tools, socio-cultural profiles and prospects for improvement” is the title of the conference organized by the Tarquinia Lions Club which will be held on November 25th, from 4.45 pm, in the council room of the town hall of the Etruscan city , for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The event, which is part of the program of awareness initiatives on the theme #maipiùsilenzio coordinated by the Municipality of Tarquinia, will be moderated by the lawyer Paolo Pirani, member of the supervisory body of the Union of Italian Criminal Chambers (UCPI).
“Lions make the prevention and fight against gender violence one of the cornerstones of their activities – states the president of the Tarquinia Lions Club Roberta Ranucci -, because it constitutes, unfortunately, a dramatic reality that requires a very strong commitment at all institutional levels , promoting the culture of respect for the person and offering potential victims useful tools to overcome critical and violent situations. We are proud to organize this conference which sees the patronage of the Municipality of Tarquinia and the Criminal Chamber of Civitavecchia “Attilio Bandiera” and for which three training credits are foreseen for lawyers. I thank the lawyer Pirani, member and past president of the Tarquinia Lions Club, who for many years has promoted and organized conferences on gender violence, addressing them from various thematic angles; the municipal administration, in particular the mayor Francesco Sposetti and the councilor for public education Sara Corridoni, for the support and collaboration given to make the event possible; the head teacher of the IISS “Vincenzo Cardarelli” Laura Piroli, for the fruitful collaboration with the Tarquinia Lions Club which is renewed on this occasion too with the participation of thirty students in the initiative, for the courses for transversal skills and for the orientation (PCTO); finally the speakers who, with their presence, will give prestige to the meeting”.
At the center of the initiative is an in-depth reflection on the “Red Code”, i.e. law 69 of 19 July 2019, to protect women and vulnerable subjects who suffer violence, persecution and mistreatment, with a multidisciplinary approach as required by the complexity of the phenomenon. Speakers will include the chief prosecutor of Civitavecchia, Dr. Alberto Liguori; the president of the criminal chamber of Civitavecchia “Attilio Bandiera”, the lawyer Leonardo Montini Paciotta; the forensic IT expert, engineer Paolo Reale; the councilor and treasurer of the Council of the Civitavecchia Bar Association, the lawyer Laura Russino; the singer of the rock group “Le Vibrazioni” Francesco Sarcina; the professional mixed martial arts fighter Alessio Di Chirico. The conference will be broadcast live on the Youtube channel of the Municipality of Tarquinia.
