After the ninth defeat in the Euroleague, Segafredo has a few days of break for the national teams. A break that at Virtus is limited to the pitch alone, given that it is outside the movements seem to be different and mainly concern the figures of Clyburn and Baraldi.
The Black Vs have explored the market for the sale of Clyburn
According to what was reported by Corriere di Bologna signed by Daniele Labanti, Virtus Bologna would have tested the market to place one of its most important contracts, that of Will Clyburn. The Juventus number 8 was the resounding name of the Virtussina summer, one of those to which Dr. Zanetti’s club and now also Gherardi’s have accustomed the public in recent years.
The answers on the pitch are struggling to arrive, while cryptic (but not too much) messages arrive from his partner. The former CSKA player, who arrived in Bologna thanks also to the help of Toko Shengelia, signed a contract two-year contract worth 1.5 million net per season (with exit option in June 2025). At the moment, however, the real Clyburn has only been seen in Belgrade’s victory against Partizan and in a good performance against Panathinaikos.
Yet there is so much of the player even in this dark period, his way of acting on the pitch is nothing different from what he has always presented even in past experiences. Of course, now this attitude is accompanied by performances below the value that is economically recognized for them.
Because of this Virtus would have started a dialogue with its Italian agencybut if you really want to proceed in the direction of the market you will have to talk to the American attorney. The currently insufficient performances, accompanied by the lackluster recent seasons and the heavy contract, however, are unlikely to see Clyburn away from Bologna, if not by his own will.
Roma are thinking about Baraldi
Meanwhile Virtus Segafredo Bologna CEO Luca Baraldi seems to have entered AS Roma’s radar. The Giallorossi, in the presidential figures of Friedkin, seem to have set their sights on the Modena native for a place in the football management of a club eager to change its structure. Baraldi has already held roles within football clubs like Lazio of which he became CEO in 2003. He was also vice-president of Parma first and then of Modena. In 2009 he became general manager of Bologna while in 2012 he moved to Padova with the role of managing director.
