The basics of pickleball
Pickleball is played on a court about a quarter the size of a tennis court. The game can be played indoors or outdoors and requires a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Pickleball can be played in singles (one against one) or doubles (two against two).
Pickleball game rules

The playing field:
- The pitch is 13.4 m long and 6.1 m wide, with an 86 cm high net in the middle.
- There are two service boxes on each side of the net.
The game:
- The goal is to hit the ball over the net and prevent the opponent from hitting it back.
- Every rally begins with an underhand serve, which must be hit diagonally and lands in the opponent’s service box.
- The pickleball ball may bounce once on each side of the net before it must be returned.
Scoring:
- A game is usually played to 11 points, and a player or team must win by at least two points.
- Points can only be scored from the serving side.
„Double Bounce Rule“:
- After serving, the ball must bounce first on the receiving side and then on the serving side before players can hit the ball directly.
