After five NLA championship rounds, the Uzwil badminton club is fortunately in second place in the table. Two opponents from the bottom half of the table await this weekend: Brig and Argovia. The home game will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 3 p.m. in the BZWU sports hall in Niederuzwil.

Lausanne is currently at the top of the table with 14 points. Uzwil is just behind with 13 points. It is also somewhat surprising that the people of Eastern Switzerland can look forward to a successful start to the season. Because the squad is thin on the ground, especially among men. Kropf and Manavalan are out injured, Müller was parted ways during the summer break. That’s why the young talents have been deployed ever since. A daring experiment, but so far it’s mostly working. The management team with head coach Iztok Utrosa, team captain Miha Ivanic and sports director Ramon Kropf demonstrate a good instinct for a successful team constellation and also impress with their tactical moves. Now we want to stay on this path to success.
On Saturday, November 16th, Uzwil will face Brig away, and on Sunday the team will host Argovia at home. Both the Valais and Aargauer teams have only won one game this season. Both are therefore tied for second-to-last place in the table. While they want to rehabilitate themselves from the slow start to the season, Uzwil is now looking at the top of the table with a lot of self-confidence. This could only be achieved with two more wins.
Regarding the team line-up, no major surprises are to be expected at BC Uzwil. For the women, Milena Schnider returns from her trip to Asia, where she took part in intensive training sessions and competitions. For the men, the coaching team will rely on proven talent.
