The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (WIPR) announced on Monday that it will be the official channel of the “Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge”, an event organized by MB Sports that will be held from February 14 to 17, 2025 at the “Paquito” Montaner stadiums in Ponce and Solá Morales in Caguas.
The event will feature the participation of eight Division I universities in the United States, including Rice University, University of Connecticut, Penn State University and University of Missouri, which will begin their 2025 regular season in Puerto Rico as part of their path to the College World Series in Omaha.
Jorge Pagán, president of WIPR, said: “WIPR will broadcast the games for Puerto Rico through its television signals and digital application, and in the United States in collaboration with ESPN. “We know that sport unites us, and presenting these games will be an enjoyment for the whole family.”
Meanwhile, Anaymir “Tuti” Muñoz, producer of the event, added: “The Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge is a historic event for collegiate baseball and highlights Puerto Rico as an ideal setting for top-level competitions.”
WIPR looking for new talent to become presenters

This is a unique opportunity that will be offered to people over 21 years of age who possess charisma and fluency in front of the cameras.
