The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (WIPR) announced that it will be the official channel of the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge in a collaboration with MB Sports.

The event will take place from February 14 to 17, 2025 at the Francisco “Paquito” Montaner stadiums in Ponce and, in turn, at the Yldefonso Solá Morales in Caguas.

Eight Division I universities in the United States will unite for a weekend of games to begin the 2025 regular season heading to the College World Series in Omaha

Teams from Rice University, Stetson University, University of Connecticut, Villanova University, University of Virginia, Penn State University and University of Missouri will participate.

“We remain focused on providing our audiences with quality content and healthy entertainment for the whole family. We know that sport is something that always unites us and being able to present, both on television and digitally, these games will be something for everyone to enjoy. We also thank the management of ESPN, with whom we have coordinated this collaboration,” said Jorge Pagán, president of WIPR, through a written communication.

WIPR will be responsible for the production and broadcast of these games, both for the enjoyment of the Puerto Rican public through the town’s channel signals and in the United States on ESPN under the full WIPR signal. Likewise, the games will be broadcast on the WIPR digital application.
