Novak Djokovic’s former coach is going on the women’s tour as a coach. The 2001 Wimbledon winner becomes the coach of a former Wimbledon winner.

In the spring of 2024, Novak Djokovic and his coach Goran Ivanisevic went their separate ways – now the Croatian is returning as coach. However, the 2001 Wimbledon winner will not pass on his tips on the ATP tour, but on the women’s tour.

The 53-year-old will take over the coaching job from Elena Rybakina, who triumphed at Wimbledon in 2022.

WTA: Rybakina is among the world’s best

The Russian native, who plays for Kazakhstan, separated from her long-time coach Stefan Vukov before the US Open. This season, the 25-year-old won three WTA titles, but also missed several weeks of the tour due to injury. The 25-year-old, currently number five in the world rankings, has not played a match since the US Open in New York.
