Even if the Olympic Games effect was not felt in terms of attendance, the local club of l’Élan Judo Club de l’Odonhas Aunay-sur-Odon (Les Monts d’Aunay), in Calvados, maintains its workforce this year 2024, approaching the number of 100 licensees.
Two teachers for lessons
Two teachersÉdouard Pieprzyk and Guillaume Bras teach judo, taiso and jujitsu classes on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Aunay-sur-Odon dojo.
Édouard Pieprzyk is a 3rd dan black belt, he is the only salaried teacher in the club. He holds the Professional Certificate in Youth, Popular Education and Sport. He is also president of the Avant-Garde Caennaise.
Guillaume Bras runs classes for teenagers and adults.
He is a 1st dan black belt and is in the process of obtaining his Professional Judo Qualification Certificate. Guillaume has been with the club for several years and he is very invested in it.
Club hours
Judokas regularly participate in competitions : interclubs, departmental and regional meetings.
Classes take place at the dojo on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for pre-chicks and chicks; from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., juniors and juniors; from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., jujitsu classes; 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., taiso class. Friday: 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., baby judo; 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., pre-chick and chicks; 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., teens/adults.
The annual membership is €138, including €41 license.
