ALESO On the parquet of the municipal gym of Alesso, what is now a classic of five-a-side football takes place under the aegis of CSEN; for the fifth day of the regional phase of the TuttocampoCup, the two teams that represented Friuli Venezia Giulia at the national finals last June will take to the field. The hosts from Val del Lago, regional champions, face the reigning national champion team, Maccan C5 Prata from Pordenone.
At the end of a hard-fought match, the hosts deservedly won 4-3. Ended the first half with the lead at 2-1 thanks to goals from Sara Cucchiaro and Sara Nodale (Martin, at the end, scored the penalty which reopened the match, with Sara Veritti temporarily forced to leave the field due to a bad blow repaired to the side), Val del Lago extends to 3-1 at the start of the second half with the goal by captain Cucchiaro, but is caught again, within a couple of minutes, in the middle of the set (two 25′ halves are played) when Vazzoler and Bigaron bring the result to 3-3. However, the team from the Trasaghis hamlet is not happy with the draw and so, with just a handful of minutes remaining, it is Maria Zuliani who finds the net for the final 4-3. The final attempts to regain the draw by the Pordenone team were useless and therefore, at the final whistle from the expert match director Maurizio Stefanutti, Val del Lago could get the party started.
Fourth consecutive victory for the team from Alto Friuli, who have already benefited from the rest period, third defeat, however, for the strong Pordenone team, who however still have to “rest”.
The next match for the leaders Val del Lago is scheduled for Thursday 5 December when, in Gradisca d’Isonzo, they will face the “Falling Stars”.
