TOPS
The wonderful Ayyoub Bouaddi
17 years old and a lot (too much) talent. After lighting up Losc’s major victory against Real Madrid, the young midfielder was once again resplendent with the northern club in the Champions League, this time against another “big” of Europe, Juventus Turin. The Lille player did (almost) everything well, with great technical accuracy (87% of successful passes). The precocious Les Mastiffs player is not afraid to rush into spaces when necessary, does not fumble with the ball when under pressure and does not hesitate to make quick decisions. Impressive temerity for his young age. The Frenchman has all the makings of a (future) great.

The Jonathan David-Edon Zhegrova duo did a lot of damage
The winning tandem for several months from the northern club. Once again in great form on Tuesday evening, the sensational Edon Zhegrova made the defense of the Old Lady suffer, decisive passer of a bright opening on the counter-attack for his Canadian striker who deceived the Turin goalkeeper from the right (27′) . The two friends look for each other and (often) manage to find each other. Between the Kosovar’s qualities of percussion, elimination and explosive acceleration and the Canadian’s ability to demonstrate great composure against the opposing goal, the northern attack is going (very) well.

Lucas Chevalier, once again heroic
The northern wall has spoken again. The Lille goalkeeper made two very classy saves once again this evening, without disgusting the Old Lady attackers. The Dogues goalkeeper, sparkling since the start of the season, could well be on Didier Deschamps’ list this week, and he deserves it.

Losc likes “big” people
Seven points out of nine against Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Juventus Turin… Who would have imagined that for Lille? The Northerners have had a superb Champions League run since the start of the season and can dream of qualifying for the round of 16 of the competition with their current 12th place. Next meeting for Bruno Genesio’s men, on November 27 in Bologna.
FLOPS
The Mastiffs’ difficult return from the locker room
After the break, Lille experienced a quarter of an hour in hell where they were asphyxiated by the Old Lady and cornered in defense. The result? Benjamin André broke under the Piedmontese pressure by conceding a penalty immediately converted by Dusan Vlahovic (60′). The Northerners will have to erase this for their next matches and attack the second acts from the start with aggression and harshness.
Juve’s barren possession
80% possession. This is the statistic displayed by Thiago Motta’s team during the first 20 minutes of the match. Extremely high possession, which returned at the start of the second half, but which was often a symptom and an admission of helplessness in this match, against the solid and compact Lille defense.
