Young baseball player died after injecting horse steroids

The baseball world in the Dominican Republic is in mourning and shock due to the tragic death of a prospect. A 14-year-old boy died after receiving a horse steroid injection.

Ismael Ureña Pérez lost his life on November 14 due to the reactions that veterinary steroids generated in his body. However, other reports claim that the young man’s death occurred four months ago, but it was now that the case came to light.

According to local media Diario Libre, the young promise was practicing at the Yordy Cabrera Baseball Academy with his two brothers, who now suffer from side effects such as tachycardia and vision problems.

Animal steroid use in baseball

It is common practice in non-professional baseball to implement the use of horse steroids adapted for humans in order to improve performance. This substance responds to the name Bodedone.
