Zamorano judokas play a great role in the Spanish Cup

It was played this weekend in the Madrid town of Getafe

This weekend the Spanish Judo Cup took place in Getafe in the cadet category of the community of Madrid, and as it could not be otherwise, the Caja Rural-Judo team traveled there, formed this time only by members of the Judo Morales club.

The Zamorano competitors gave their all on the tatami and competed like what they are…warriors

Andrés Rodríguez -66kg, started with a win and lost in the second round and did not enter the repechage, he competed very well

María Bahamonde -52kg, won her first two rounds, fell in third and the bad condition did not allow a repechage.

Juan Meana -60kg, bad luck in everything, he had to open the championship, he had to do a previous fight. He lost in the second round to one of the finalists, he played off and lost to the bronze medalist and still had a very, very good competition.

Elena Bahamonde -44kg, almost perfect, got a wonderful and very hard-worked bronze. Elena has won the last five Spanish Cups, standing on the podium with a total of three bronzes, one silver and one gold, which is within the reach of very few being second in the national ranking.

With these results, Moralino Judo continues to prove to be among the best on the national scene and we begin to prepare the next event that will be in Pamplona in two weeks.
