## Gu-ro District Launches New WomenS Badminton Team
The Gu-ro District of Seoul has taken a meaningful step in promoting sports and athletic progress by establishing a dedicated women’s badminton team. The team, officially launched on December 23rd at the Hangdong Sports Center, is poised to make a mark in the competitive badminton scene. [[1]]

강 감독은 ”세계 무대에서의 경험과 감독으로서 쌓아온 노하우를 선수들에게 아낌없이 전수하겠다”며 “팀이 국내 스포츠계의 새로운 역사를 써 내려갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
선수단은 내년 3월 대한배드민턴협회장기 전국종별배드민턴대회를 목표로 훈련에 매진할 계획이다.
창단식에는 구로구청장 권한대행 엄의식 부구청장, 국회의원, 시·구의원, 서울시·구로구 체육회 관계자 등 130여 명이 참석했다.
엄의식 부구청장은 창단기념사에서 “구로구청 배드민턴팀이 지역사회의 체육 발전을 이끌고, 국내 스포츠계의 모범이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
