150 young judokas on the tatamis for the Finistère championship in Douarnenez

In Douarnenez, the Plaine des sports hosted the Finistère championship in the cadet category, Sunday December 15. Ronan Guellec, the president of the Douarnenez Judo club, had mobilized around thirty volunteers the day before to prepare the room and ensure the success of the event.

15% more licensees: the Olympics effect

Sunday, 100 boys and 50 girls from all the clubs in the department took to the tatami mats of the multisports hall to try to win a ticket to the Brittany championship. The departmental committee has 64 clubs and 6,800 members. “This year, we clearly have an Olympic Games effect with a 15% increase in our workforce,” analyzes Magalie Sueur, president of the departmental committee.

In Douarnenez, the club has 120 members, aged from 4 to 73 years old. Sunday, Chloé Le Gall-Brelivet, in the under 48 kg category, was the only one to defend the colors of the Penn-Sardin city. The Douarneniste climbed onto the third step of the podium. Chloé Le Gall-Brelivet will participate in the Brittany championships, Saturday February 8, in Ploërmel, in Morbihan.
