The retirement season of ‘King of Clay Court’ Rafael Nadal (Spain) will be produced as a documentary. Foreign media such as Tennis.com and The Athletic reported on the 19th (Korean time) that “Netflix is ​​producing a documentary series featuring Nadal’s 2024 season.”

Produced by Skydance Sports and directed by Jack Heingering, this film focuses on Nadal’s final season before retirement. The official title and broadcast schedule have not yet been confirmed.

Nadal said through Netflix, “I never thought I would make something like this,” and “I knew it was an amazing project when I was contacted by David Ellison.” “Everyone will be able to see my tennis career and especially the final years,” he added. “It will also show how my life and tennis career has developed.”

Nadal’s 2024 season got off to a promising start in Brisbane, Australia, but he withdrew from the Australian Open after complaining of hip pain after his match against Jordan Thompson.
