A Night of History and Emotion with the Great Mazatlán Deer Documentary Gala

Mazatlán, Sinaloa. On an unforgettable night, Plaza Acaya became the epicenter of emotion and nostalgia, with the grand gala of the premiere of the documentary “Del Diamante a la Serie del Caribe: Historias del Beisbol Mexicano”, which celebrates the rich history of the Mazatlán deer.

Through unpublished images, moving testimonies and iconic moments, this film production paid tribute to the legacy of the team that has marked generations in the port.

The red carpet was full of luminaries, from current players and team legends, to figures from the Mazatlán sports and cultural community.

Among the special guests, Mireya Sosa Osuna, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Sinaloa; Fabiola Verde, Director of the Municipal Sports Institute of Mazatlán, Germán Lizárraga, prominent Sinaloan musician, businessmen and distinguished Venados Members also attended.

Carlos Manrique, President of the Mexican Pacific ARCO League, also attended the great event, as well as the board of directors of the host club headed by Engineer Antonio Toledo Ortiz, President of the Board of Directors of Grupo Venados, who were received in the red carpet by Venny, Vennito and Venicornia.

The documentary takes viewers on a journey through the triumphs, challenges and most memorable moments in the club’s history, highlighting not only the sporting achievements, but also its impact on the Mazatlan community.

Toledo Ortiz thanked all the guests for their presence and spoke about how significant it was to see the documentary materialized on platforms such as Vix. They were later able to enjoy the first chapter of the documentary.

The president of the LAMP then offered a few words, as did the Director of the Documentary, José Antonio Toledo Pinto, the Marketing Manager of Plaza Acaya, Ninfa Padrón, said she was excited to be the scene of the great event and later a plaque was unveiled that will be placed on the Baseball Walk of Fame that reads:

“Grupo Venados and Plaza Acaya, we celebrate the presentation of the documentary for the first time in a movie theater Del Diamante a la Serie del Caribe: Historias del Beisbol Mexicano and the renewal of the Venados de Mazatlán Walk of Fame. This project is a tribute to the rich history of the team and its contribution to Mexican baseball, the result of the collaboration between Venados and Plaza Acaya Mazatlán.”

Once the plaque was unveiled, official photos were taken with all the directors, and a raffle for a Teddy Kelly painting was also held, which Heber Gómez won.

The documentary gala concluded with a cocktail on the Walk of Fame, in Plaza Acaya, which all the guests enjoyed.
