While he is getting better offensively, Bilal Coulibaly continues to put together crazy performances in defense, ready to do anything to extinguish his opponent. And even in his own locker room, he manages to surprise people.
These last few weeks have not been easy for Bilal Coulibaly offensively. Many matches with less than 10 points, awkwardness and worry on the part of the supporters. But for two matches, the Frenchman has regained his splendor, proof that the 4-day rest due to the NBA Cup had its effect.
But during this period, Coulibaly still continued to have an impressive impact with the Wizards. We could see him present to distribute the game, while he gives everything to defend the best opposing attacker, he who clearly takes a lot of pleasure in it. Luka Doncic was also under the spell at the beginning of the month.

Every night, he has to defend the opponent’s best player, and he doesn’t get any rest. On the floor I will tell him sometimes, ‘I can defend him on a few possessions if you need to breathe’, and he tells me ‘no, I have it’. He’s incredible. »
Proof that Coulibaly takes his role very seriously with the Wizards, aware of being a nightmare for his opponents. A behavior that is nice to see, especially since Bilal confirmed this story a few moments later.
Bilal Coulibaly on Bub Carrington : “Yeah he often tries to help me. Even today he tried (against Jayson Tatum, Editor’s note), but I told him ‘don’t worry, I’ve got it’. Even the coaches sometimes ask me to take a break, but I’m on the floor for that, so let me do my job (laughs). »
We understand why the Wizards are impressed by Coulibaly, even if Brian Keefe had things to complain about following his performance.
Bilal Coulibaly loves to defend, to the point where even his teammates can’t believe it. An attitude which obviously pleases the supporters, aware of having a very special player in the squad. And this is just the beginning.
